Rules: The Big Apple Tournament will follow the rules of play as described in the NAGVA Rules and Regulations.

Officiating: NAGVA Rules and Regulations states in Section 6 that teams must provide a certified 1st referee and a certified scorekeeper for all matches. This rule will be enforced at the Big Apple. Further, the rules state that if a team cannot provide a certified 1st referee or certified scorekeeper, they must pay the cost of obtaining one from the tournament committee.

The Officiating and Scorekeeping Clinics are now online. Please go to the NAGVA Scorekeeper & Referee Exams for more information.

Teams without a NAGVA certified up-official or scorekeeper will be required to pay $30 per match per position.

If a team cannot provide a 1st referee or scorekeeper and does not pay the required fee, they WILL NOT play at the tournament and will not receive a refund.
